England were involved in a highly entertaining and ultimately triumphant round of 16 tie with Mexico as the Three Lions prevailed with a 3-2 win over their Central American counterparts, meaning all three host nations are now out of the tournament.
England still remain unbeaten after navigating their way through the group stage along with progressing through the early knockout rounds with subsequent victories against DR Congo in the round of 32 followed by the aforementioned result over Mexico in the round of 16.
Three of England’s five World Cup matches so far have not only resulted in both teams hitting the back of the net but have also produced three goals or more and with the likes of Harry Kane leading the way with 6 goals along with Jude Bellingham 4 goals, Thomas Tuchel’s side look more than capable of notching at the Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
