RB Leipzig could hardly have asked for a better boost before this one. They demolished Eintracht Frankfurt 6-0 on Saturday, with Christopher Nkunku scoring a first-half hat-trick. RB Leipzig were already four goals ahead at the break and added two more after it.
Their home form has been just as impressive throughout the Bundesliga campaign. RB Leipzig have won all three home games without conceding, scoring 14 goals in the process. That makes the Red Bull Arena a difficult place for PSV Eindhoven to visit, even if RB Leipzig's away performances have been less convincing.
The challenge now is to carry that attacking sharpness into Europe. PSV Eindhoven are much more dangerous going forward than Eintracht Frankfurt looked on Saturday, so RB Leipzig cannot assume another comfortable night.

PSV have been scoring at a high rate themselves. Peter Bosz's side have found the net regularly this season, with their recent run producing plenty of goals.
Their previous 1-1 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League was less convincing, but they bounced back in domestic action. PSV won their last three league matches, scoring 9 goals, most recently beating Heerenveen 2-0.
The Dutch side can hurt RB Leipzig's defense, and their recent scoring record suggests they should create chances. The concern is whether they can contain RB Leipzig at the other end. The hosts have been ruthless at home, and PSV will need to defend far better than they have in some of their recent high-scoring games.

This looks like an open contest. Both sides have the tools to hurt the other, and neither should lack chances.
I’m leaning towards goals here rather than picking a winner. RB Leipzig have scored 14 times without conceding in three home league games, but PSV have been finding the net regularly too. I expect the visitors to give RB Leipzig more to think about than Eintracht Frankfurt did last Saturday.
