Tuesday 3rd November 2026 - Kick Off 8pm
This game is live on TV
Feyenoord
They are not the kind of force that can be expected to add to the European Cups that have been won before, but Feyenoord have returned to the Champions League this season with ambitions of making it through to the Knock Out Rounds at the very least. Last season they were very disappointingly beaten before that stage in the Europa League, and Feyenoord have made a mixed start to the League Phase of this competition in 2026, which puts them under some early pressure.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is back in charge and he has helped Feyenoord earn 3 points so far in the Champions League, while guiding them to the top of the Dutch Eredivisie through nine games played. The side are 26th in the Champions League standings, but Feyenoord will take confidence from the fact that the points earned came from beating Italian club Como in between losses at Barcelona and Real Betis.
Feyenoord had won 5 in a row in all competitions before the defeat in Seville and that has sparked a run of 3 games without a victory. They had won 3 in a row at home, but Feyenoord were held to a 1-1 draw by Sittard this past weekend.
A settled starting eleven has been used in the Champions League so far this season and that is set to continue this week.
Inter Milan
A statement was made last week that Inter Milan would join rivals AC in building a new Stadium next to the famous San Siro, which would be opened in the season leading up to the Euro 2032 Finals that will be held in Italy. A loss at the San Siro in the Milan derby did knock Inter Milan off the summit of Serie A this past weekend, while there is considerable work to do to get back on track in the Champions League.
The win over Shakhtar Donetsk on Match Day 3 of the Champions League has pushed Inter Milan up into 21st place in the standings having opened the campaign with losses to Real Madrid and Club Brugge. Two seasons ago, Inter Milan reached the Champions League Final under Simeone Inzaghi, but Christian Chivu's team were beaten in the Knock Out Play Off Round by Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League and have been struggling again.
Inter Milan had been enjoying a largely productive October having won 5 of the 6 games played in all competitions following the return from the international break, but the 3-1 loss to AC Milan on Saturday is a real setback. The side have only lost 1 of the 5 away games played in all competitions, while Inter Milan have won 3 of those matches.
A host of injuries are hurting Inter Milan early in this season and the hope is that a number will return after the upcoming international break. As well as injuries, Inter Milan will be without Alessandro Bastoni, who was sent off on Match Day 3.
Head to Head
Two seasons ago, Inter Milan beat Feyenoord in both Legs of the Last 16 tie in the Champions League on their way to the Final.
Inter Milan could even afford to miss a Penalty in the 0-2 win here and they are unbeaten in the 2 trips made to Rotterdam.
Prediction
There is a considerable difference between the Dutch top flight and the big five European Leagues, but Inter Milan still feel really short to win at De Kuip on Match Day 4 of the Champions League.
Both Inter and Feyenoord are looking for a big result as we hit the halfway mark of the Group Stage with both teams having secured 3 points so far.
Feyenoord have not been in the best recent form, but they will take a lot of confidence from the thumping home win over Como earlier in the League Phase. Putting a similar kind of performance on the board will be a problem for Inter Milan, who have not been as comfortable in European Football under Christian Chivu as they had been under Simeone Inzaghi.
Last season, Inter Milan did win in Amsterdam against Ajax and two years ago they won at this ground, but the side have lost 3 of the last 4 away Champions League games played.
Inter Milan were considerably the stronger team when winning at De Kuip two years ago, but Feyenoord may feel the gap is much narrower in November 2026, especially with the injuries in the Inter squad.
That should give the home team an opportunity and Feyenoord do look a big price to avoid a defeat on Tuesday evening.
The draw looks a real runner with every chance that Inter Milan would settle for that right now, but having the double chance on the home team looks the way to go.
