It has been a difficult few days for Manchester City and Enzo Maresca as the team have lost the lead in the English Premier League thanks to consecutive defeats. The key for the manager is making this just a bump in the road and to get Manchester City back on track before the November international break with two big away games to be played before that fortnight away from action.

They have suffered a big home defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, but Manchester City are still in a decent position having beaten Porto and AEK Athens. In the last couple of seasons, Manchester City have not been the most convincing away from home in the Champions League, but they have won 3 of the last 5 on their travels.
Manchester City have not won any of the last 3 games in all competitions since beating AEK Athens on Match Day 3, while they have suffered consecutive Premier League games. The side had won all 4 away games in all competitions before the trip to Villa Park where Manchester City were beaten 2-1.

Prediction
It has been a difficult couple of results to take, but Enzo Maresca will believe his Manchester City team have done enough to deserve more than they have got against Aston Villa and Brighton.
After the fast start made to the campaign, Maresca will have been aware that he would have some difficult moments and this is one of those.
Manchester City can turn the attention to the Champions League for a few days and they are well versed in travelling to Leipzig to take on this Bundesliga representative.
They will have respect for the strong results Leipzig have earned at home, but this is also a group of players who have to prove they have what it takes in the Champions League. Two seasons ago, Leipzig failed to make it through the expanded Group Stage, which would have come as a surprise, and this is a team that have capitulated defensively.
Most of those vulnerabilities have been exposed away from home, but this is a Manchester City team who can make things very difficult for the hosts.
You do have to believe Leipzig can create plenty of problems for the visiting team as well considering some of the defensive issues Manchester City have shown in the last couple of fixtures. The home fans will expect that from the Leipzig players, but Manchester City can bounce back from a couple of disappointing results and they can continue the surge up the standings in the Champions League.
