Analysis:Liverpool will be fighting to keep their second place as the title has already been won by Manchester United when they welcome the visit of Tottenham here.
Interestingly is the inclusion of veteran defender Sami Hyypia and he could be named as Captain as well when he plays his last game of his 10 year stay at Anfield.
But Tottenham have their own agenda as well as they are still in the running for a place in the Europa League. Harry Redknapp did well since coming in early October turning them from relegation candidates to now potential European contenders.
Robbie Keane will return to Anfield after being sold back to Tottenham in the winter transfer window following an unsuccessful six-month stay at Liverpool and will want to prove a point here. As it stands now Tottenham are just two points away from Fulham who are in seventh place.
Spurs goes into this match knowing that they are the only side that can catch Fulham who occupy the last remaining league position that will let them play in Europe in 2009/10.
As for the team news, defenders Daniel Agger and Martin Skrtel will have to give way for a place on the bench as one of them make way for Hyypia to play his last match at the club. Midfielder Xabi Alonso will also feature despite uncertainties about his future at the club. He came on in the second half against relegation bound West Bromwich Albion when they won that match.
Jamie Carragher and Alvaro Arbeloa could start this match at soem point in time, despite a much-publicised, on-field bust-up in their last match.
For the record Tottenham won the intial clash in November at White Hart Lane and Liverpool will want to get the better of the Londoners here today.
The visitors will be missing the likes of midfielder Tom Huddlestone as he is set to undergo surgery on his knee. Benoit Assou-Ekotto will start after coming on to replace Gareth Bale in their crucial win against Manchester City. Vedran Corluka is expected to get the nod over Alan Hutton once again for this match.
