Analysis:Both of these two sides are battling for a palce in Europe and are on a good run in Serie A. Napoli are unbeaten in their last four matches, although they blew an opportunity to go level on points with fourth-placed Palermo at the weekend after only drawing with Lazio 1-1.
Napoli paid the price in that match as they lost their full back in Christian Maggio who had to leave with a knee injury that requires surgery and he will be out for the next three weeks.
Having said that Napoli have the easiest path to qualify for a Champions League spot as after Parma’s visit to San Paolo, they play Bari, Cagliari, Chievo, Atalanta and Sampdoria before the season ends.
Napoli are favourites also as they have won four and drew two of those six matches in the first half of the season. So barring any slip ups they should get the final spot.
Parma though are unbeaten in their last seven games and will do their best to stop Napoli here. They are currently 10th in Serie A and have realised their objective of surviving in the first flight in Serie A.
The visitors now have an outside chance of qualifying for the Europa League with just six points separating them from their opponents today. But to come away with a win here is a tall order for them as Napoli have been beaten just once at home all season.
