PREVIEW
After a great start to the season Liverpool got brought back down to earth in their last 2 games. They lost to Stoke and then to Tottenham without scoring, letting in 5! The 4-0 loss to Spurs does not tell the full picture though, as I doubt that would have been the score had the Reds not had 2 players sent off.
Last year Wolves came here and pulled a 1-0 win, something they did to Chelsea and both Manchester outfits too, and once they had won here, Liverpool ended up sacking their manager and turned to Dalglish. Blessing in disguise, that loss. King Kennys arrival has breathed new life into the Reds and they have picked their form up enormously. In the reverse fixture, Liverpool ran out 3-0 winners over Wolves.
I would expect the score to look a lot closer to that this weekend. Although Liverpool have allowed opponents to score in all but one match so far, they might have a good chance of keeping a clean sheet here. They almost managed it in midweek, as the Reds were 2-0 up on Brighton in the Carling Cup before giving up a penalty late on. The arrival of Craig Bellamy has begun paying off already, as the Welshman scored on his return to the club. I expect him to start alongside Suarez and that might just be an even more dangerous combination than Carroll and Suarez.
Wolves also started well with 2 wins but are winless through 3 games, losing their last 2. Their last match was an absolute disaster, getting thrashed 3-0 by new boys QPR. Wolves left the pitch at FT to boos from their supporters. I just don't see them able to compete with Liverpool, not the way they look this season.
Liverpool have Suarez, Carroll, Downing, Enrique and Bellamy. Steven Gerrard is also back in the team. They should be too powerful and with Reina, they have a great chance to add to the 1 clean sheet they've managed, away at Arsenal.
BETTING VERDICT
This might well be a lopsided win for Liverpool, who will want to atone for their performance last week in the sh*te part of North London. Home win.
