PREVIEW
QPR did themselves a huge favour by coming back to beat Liverpool here despite being 0-2 down, and then they did it again, beating Arsenal 2-1. Still, they are in danger of going down, for their 2 point lead over Bolton comes thanks to the 2 extra games they have played. Bolton have a home game they could take points from, so QPR must keep winning, or at least avoid defeat, which could see Wigan pull away, leaving them in a fight with Blackburn and Bolton for who goes down. Next up, Tottenham!
Mark Hughes men have done well at home in recent games, winning 4 and losing just 3 of their last 7 matches in Shepherds Bush. If they can score more than once here, I think they will avoid defeat, because Tottenham have been shaky for a while now and are simply not convincing, because their belief looks to have disappeared. There is too much doubt, and it showed in their last match, where they were outplayed and soundly beaten by Norwich, another team that has just come up from the Championship.
QPR have scored a few recently, 8 in their last 3 matches, and the goals came from 7 different players, which is very encouraging, because it means they are a threat all over the place. Tottenham have seen a few goals go in recently, in their own net that is. On Sunday Spurs got their backsides handed to them by Chelsea 5-1 and that means Tottenham will win nothing this season. That they were screwed by a horrible decision by the referee will only infuriate them further, and while normally that spurs teams on, I think the effect it will have on these players will be negative. You could see it towards the end of the Cup game, and afterwards as players sobbed at the final whistle.
On the road Spurs just haven't managed to grind it out, being held to 0-0 draws and losing to Everton without scoring. That's just not good enough at this level, y'know, because, long story short, y'know, at the end of the day, if you don't put the ball in the back of the net the one thing you can be sure of, is you're not going to win the match. Y'know?
BETTING VERDICT
I think Tottenham will find the net here. But I also think QPR will too. They're not messing around, this lot. Take Both Teams To Score. Simples.
