Villarreal fought so hard to turn fortunes around in this appaling season and after moving close to the european cup zone - Yellow Submarine got into a very unnecessary downfall subsequently losing to
Barcelona (1-4) and Almeria (2-4).

The thrashing at Stadio Mediterranio was especially not in Villarreal's plans, but the early red card to central defender Mussachio opened the door wide open for Almeria to send 3 goals past Diego Lopez. Visitor's heroism was too little and to late as after narrowing the gap to just one goal - 3-2 - Almeria beat the last nail into the Submarine's coffin.

Now Juan Carlos Garrido has to earn the maximum of 6 points in the last 2 games of the season to stand any hopes of qualifying for Europa League. Fortunately Villarreal approaches the climax without injury concerns. Mussachio's suspension is not significant due to his cover-up role in the squad.

Valencia

A 3-1 midweek win against Xerez has guaranteed we would be seeing Valencia back in the Champions League after 2 years exile.
The achievement was greeted with Emery's contract extention the following day.

David Villa was deliberately, by my estimations, left at the bench during the match vs. Xerez to show that this team has enough quality
to provide results even after the star-man joins Barcelona.

The move has not been officially confirmed by either of the sides, but the ongoing rumors have been sending Villa to Camp Nou for 2 seasons. 3rd time should be lucky. Juan Mata stole the show with his 2 goal solo with one of them scored from a free-kick.

Defenders have been cursed this season for Valencia. Difficult to recall the last time Emery had the opportunity to field his best possible back four. Dealbert,Bruno and Mathieu are on the sidelines, while the fitness of Alexis Ruano is in doubt.

Odds on home win are already reflecting the difference of motivation the sides have. In normal conditions certainly the chances would've had other estimations.
