NEW YORK YANKEES
77-48 W/L, 35-26 Road, 6-4 Last 10, L1 Streak
The Yankees had a 5-2 home stand before yesterdays match but like I said, they are better at home than on the road. After last night, their run is 4-6 and they are now 7-12 in their last 19 road games against teams with a winning record.
Dustin Moseley will go for the visitors and his season has been a bit hit and miss, if you'll pardon the pun. Actually, don't. I'm quite happy with it.
In his last game, against the Tigers, he allowed 4 runs (3 home runs) over 5 hits and walked 2 in just 5 innings. Not quite a mauling (I thank you!) but Detroit did have their wicked way with him.
TORONTO BLUE JAYS
65-59 W/L, 32-24 Home, 5-5 Last 10, W1 Streak
Toronto went 1-2 against Boston over the weekend and now they are home are showing they are much better when playing in their back yard. They got the win in game 1 of this series and look like they could get another here again. They are now 6-4 in the 10 meetings with the Yankees including 3-1 at home.
Marc Rzepczynski is the home pitcher, and while not an "ace" he has some solid numbers. His season ERA is 4.76 and he was about to be put into rotation before injuring his finger. He's all better now though and last season his finishing ERA was 3.67 which shows his quality. He has pitched in night games for the Blue Jays twice this season, going 2-0 with a 2.77ERA.
BETTING VERDICT
Yankee pitcher Moseley has given up 7 home runs in his last 4 starts. Good luck trying that sh*t in Toronto.
The Pick :
Toronto to win again!
