2010-11-13 - Dynamo Moscow vs Rubin Kazan

Dynamo Moscow
Although Dynamo is not fighting for anything but own name – games against Premier League's top clubs seem to motivate them well enough. Bojovic's team has recently held impressive CSKA to a 1-1 draw in spectacular fashion but prior to that had a dull 0-0 draw against relegation candidates Alanya.
Dynamo Moscow's form is too arrhythmic at the moment. Left winger Edgaras Cesnauskis is back and ready to return to the beloved position. Defenders Kisenkov and Kolodin continue rehabilitation and will not feature this year.
Second choice goalkeeper Anton Shunin, who had been recently preferred over Vladimir Gabulov, looks to be heading back to the bench. Youngster was to blame for the conceded goal against Rostov a week ago and overall looked a bit out of his shoes. Dynamo can actually profit from the return of motivated and angry Gabulov. Knowing what type of person he is, unexpected and long exile should’ve helped him a lot.
Cesnauskis will battle with Voronin for a place in the starting 11. I doubt, though, that the Lithuanian will be thrown into the match right after shaking off an injury. Most likely the winger will appear in the second half to give Dynamo a bit more versatility. All because in recent games team's offensive moves have been unfolding almost exclusively on the right flank, where Alexander Samedov is red hot at the moment.
Rubin Kazan
Rubin faced problems on their way to Moscow. The airplane had to make an emergency landing in Kazan due to engine failure. Luckily the crew managed to escape any negative consequences.
Rubin are trying hard to finish in 2nd place but a more difficult schedule then their main rivals CSKA makes them underdogs in this battle. Visitors are at full strength in Dynamo missing only Roman Sharonov who did not make a single appearance this season.
In the previous League match Rubin looked awful offensively again giving the critics more reasons to blame Berdyev for peddling anti-football. The manager can’t be accused for not attempting to improve the situation, though. Recent "research" has showed that Gokdeniz Karadeniz belongs in the starting 11. Turk winger was the brightest spot in Rubin's 1-1 draw against Spartak coming on the pitch at half-time.
Sergey Kornilenko, after netting the stoppage time equalizer, is guaranteed to start on the edge of attack. Obafemi Martins, whose 8.5 million price tag looks more and more as a big transfer flop, is struggling to integrate into Rubin’s playing style. To be honest, majority of specialists denounced Martins would hardly strengthen the team. For the time being, it surely does look so.
Betting advice
With the right attitude Dynamo can at least get a draw in this match. It is a bit tricky to back sides, who don’t have visible motivation, but nevertheless I sense hosts are worth trying at +0.25 handicap.
Unfortunately when this pick is posted - Asian is yet to release the odds for tomorrow's fixtures. Be on the look out for something around 1.85.
