Last weekend`s 3-1 away win over St.Pauli was Werder Bremen`s eight straight unbeaten match and they need just one more win so they can be perfectly safe in the Bundesliga and to start making plans for the next season.

This match is probably the best opportunity for Werder Bremen to seal the safety, because next weekend they will play against the table leaders Borussia Dortmund and in the last Bundesliga round they travel to a tricky fixture against Kaiserslautern, which is a team that also cannot afford dropping points.

Vfl Wolfsburg

Vfl Wolfsburg had showed an impressive performance last weekend when they beat FC Koln 4-1, but they are still placed at the play off spot and are two points behind safety.

This is probably a bad time to face Werder Bremen, who are on a rise and Vfl Wolfsburg will push to stay at least unbeaten in this tough away match.

A news that might unsettle the players before this match is that there are reports that the coach Felix Magath had made contacts with the Russian club Dynamo Moskow and had reached agreement to be their next coach starting from the next season. Whether this is true or not is yet to be seen, as there is still no official statement by the coach or the Russian club, although it was said that the contact was made.

Positive news for Vfl Wolfsburg is that they will travel to Bremen with full squad available, and also during the week Alexander Madlung and Dieudonne Mbokani had returned who were out of the team last week.
