PREVIEW
Middlesborough had lost all their away games in the Championship but then went to Blackburn and won 2-1 to pick up their first away points. Impressive, considering how high Blackburn are in the table, and then Middlesborough did it again in midweek, running out 3-1 winners in the League Cup to set up a 4th round tie against Premier League side Sunderland.
Middlesborough will be hoping that good form in front of goal will continue here, because they have not beaten Leicester in 8 matches now, drawing 6 including all of the last 4! They will be encouraged by Leicester's recent away form, which has seen them drop the last 3 games, all by a 2-1 score.
If that form continues, Middlesborough will edge them, because Tony Mowbray's side have won all 3 of their home games this season. Indeed, they have not been beaten at home in their last 5 league games, going back to last season.
Leicester City won't lack confidence though, despite the last 3 away losses. Their most recent games were played at home, and in both of them they scored impressive wins. They beat Hull City 3-1 in their last match, which followed a 2-1 win over Burnley. Dave Nugent scored all the goals against Hull and also grabbed one against Burnley, so watch out for him at the Riverside.
Both sides have played 7 games each and both have exactly 4 wins and 3 losses. Not a draw anywhere, and you have to think they're due one. After all, that's what we got the last 4 times they've met!
BETTING VERDICT
I just want to have a winner in this one as I'm taking more adventurous punts elsewhere, so I'll take the best priced 1.73 available on both teams to score, which should come in early for us, just like in the League Cup.
