The Eastern Conference has been clinched and that may mean the Detroit Pistons (57-21) will be thinking about how to manage minutes of key players in the final week of the regular season.
However, those already booked into the First Round of the NBA Playoffs will know they will be getting at least five days of rest between the final regular season game and Game 1 of the post-season. Breaking up rhythm too early could be a mistake, especially when considering the top two Seeds will be facing those that have come out of the Play In Tournament, and the Pistons should still be focused.

Orlando have won four of the last six games to just give themselves some momentum, but they will appreciate they are facing an opponent who will be looking to win the NBA Championship. Both teams have suffered with injuries to key players throughout this season, but the Pistons have shown considerable depth and they can continue to surge towards the Playoffs.
The Pistons have won three in a row and they have continued to find quality shots on the Offensive side of the court- Cade Cunningham may not be here to direct that Offense, but Detroit have shown they can still find a way and they should be able to get plenty of good things going in this game.
The real strength of this Pistons team is the balance they have found on both ends of the court and they continue to show real teeth on the Defensive side of the court as well. This can lead to fast breaks and avoiding opponents having the second chance opportunities and so you have to like the way Detroit could match up with the Orlando Magic.
In recent games, Orlando have tended to beat those they should, but have struggled when stepping up against some of the stronger teams in the NBA. So while they have beaten Sacramento, Dallas and New Orleans, Orlando have been beaten by Cleveland, Toronto and Atlanta and this could be another tough evening for the hosts.
We are at that time of the season when Picks are coming out several hours before tip off so it would be a good idea to keep an eye out on roster news. Teams will choose to rest players late on and that could change the spreads set, but the Pistons are playing with confidence and momentum and should have enough here with the expectation that one or two of the depth contributors may not be involved.
