Introduction :
Both teams are coming into this match in different mood. Sevilla have not been performing in La Liga and they have dropped to sixth in the standings after their failures to win their last three matches. If they played like they did in the last 16, then they have something to hope for, as they were better then Manchester United over two legs. It has to be said that Sevilla performs totally different in La Liga, so it is not a surprised they dropped to sixth position and it is a real battle for them to qualify for the Europa League now.
If they can win the Copa del Rey then they can get into the Europa League, but waiting for them in the final is none other then Barcelona. They came up against the Catalans last Saturday and it ended in a 2-2 draw. In fact they were close to destroying Barcelona's unbeaten record as they had a 2-0 lead but then they lost their concentration and conceded two goals in one minute.
Ahead of this match they will be without the services of midfielder Banega and in his place they will bring on Pizarro.
Bayern Munich:
They are playing well and have no problems except for the beginning when they lost several matches. Then they made the decision to replace manager Ancelotti with Heynckes and with him guiding them, they performed perfectly. They occasionally draw matches in the Bundesliga but the point advantage is so big that it is hardly felt in the table. Bayern are now waiting mathematically to win the title, which could have been confirmed last weekend after they beat closest rivals Borussia Dortmund by 6-0.
Bayern Munich were no doubt fully motivated for that match and by halftime they were 5-0 up. In the end they won by 6-0 and did not concede any goals as well. No doubt it eas Lewandowski who played a major role by scoring a hat trick. It was a surprise they played with their strongest side despite this upcoming match with Sevilla in the Champions League to come in midweek. Interestingly Kimmich stayed on the bench, but he played in the second half nevertheless. Now he will start this match and we could also see Vidal start in midfield, which means that T. Muller will start from the bench.
