Introduction:
Spain host Switzerland in a clash between top against bottom. Switzerland are bottom of the group and the other two sides are Germany and Ukraine. The visitors need all three points if they are to realistically challenge for qualification, but no doubt it is a tall order.

Spain started with a draw against Germany and beat Ukraine 4-0 in their two matches played. Spain have the likes of David De Gea and Kepa Arrizabalaga battling in goal. The Manchester United custodian is the undisputed number one for his country and is ahead of emerging talent Dean Henderson at Manchester United. Deputy Arrizabalaga has lost his place in the Chelsea side to Edouard Mendy and will review his position in January with one eye on the European Championship next summer.
New Tottenham signing full-back Sergio Reguilon is in line to start this match. He has settled in well in the Spurs side and is a constant threat down the left flank. Reguilon is in direct competition with Jose Gaya for a permanent role.
However, Thiago Alcantara is out of the side as the Liverpool ace continues his recovery from COVID-19. Meanwhile, Rodri, Dani Ceballos and Fabian Ruiz will battle it out to partner Sergio Busquets. Ceballos has done well under the guidance of Mikel Arteta, while Napoli playmaker Ruiz is being targeted by a number of big clubs in Europe.
Other then that, youngster Ansu Fati first hit the headlines last season and he is a regular for Barcelona this season. The winger has already scored on three occasions from as many appearances and memorably scored on his international debut last month.
The player to watch here will be Rodrigo. He scored against Manchester City playing for Leeds United and the former Valencia striker will be keen to impress here.
In their last three matches, they beat Romania 5-0, drew with Germany 1-1 and beat Ukraine 4-0.
Switzerland
Switzerland have a lot of experience in the side with Yann Sommer, Granit Xhaka, Rodriguez and Fabian Schar. Vladimir Petkovic will task Haris Seferovic with troubling Sergio Ramos and Pau Torres and the striker is an option to hit the back of the net here and Admir Mehmedi is another option.
The player to watch here will be Cedric Itten. He is a versatile player and will offer Seferovic both competition and support in the team. Itten plays for Rangers in the Scottish Premier League and he can play anywhere in attack.
In their last three matches, they beat Gibraltar 6-1, lost to Ukraine 2-1 and drew with Germany 1-1.
Past Meetings
When they last met before the 2018 World Cup, they played to a 1-1 draw with defenders Alvaro Odriozola and Ricardo Rodriguez scoring for their respective sides.
