Monaco will be eager to bounce back with a win in the French top flight on Saturday afternoon when they play host to Marseille at the Stade Louis-II following last weekend’s disappointing 2-1 defeat away from home at Brest which ended a previously encouraging four-game unbeaten sequence.

Marseille ended a worrying three-game losing streak in the domestic top flight last weekend when Roberto De Zerbi’s side registered a welcome 3-2 home win against Toulouse, but the visitors face a tricky outing to the Stade Louis-II on Saturday afternoon.
Marseille had previously slipped to losses at the hands of Lens, PSG and Reims, the latter two both being away from home, while the bigger picture shows Marseille have now lost four out of their last five outings on the road overall in Ligue 1.
Defeats at Nice and Auxerre have also contributed to Marseille’s recent decline on the road and have overshadowed their minimal success which came in the form of a 2-0 win at Angers, while the visitors have conceded 11 goals in their last five away games.
