The big win over what many believe is the weakest team in the Group has gotten Juventus' bid at the Club World Cup going just as they would have wanted. Another victory on Sunday would secure a place in the Second Round with a game to spare, and Juventus may then take a keener interest in Group H which houses Real Madrid.
In reality, the feeling is that winning this Group will mean avoiding a Second Round clash with the European giants and Juventus have the edge over Manchester City on goal difference after the first fixtures in the Group. That could change on Sunday evening, but Juventus will be looking to at least match the margin of victory that their main rivals in this Group had when beating Wydad AC on Wednesday.
Juventus are still a club in transition as they look to bridge the gap to the likes of Napoli and Inter Milan domestically, but they are unbeaten in 6 games in all competitions. The comfortable win to begin the Club World Cup means Juventus have won 3 in a row ahead of this next Group fixture.

Wydad AC
Some of the defending was a little haphazard, but Wydad AC gave a pretty good account of themselves overall in the 2-0 loss to Manchester City in Group G at the Club World Cup. Some of the attacking approach got them close to getting back into the fixture, although Manchester City did not really step on the gas having scored twice in the first half.
The situation has come clear for Wydad AC and they will need to earn a positive result if they are going to earn a spot in the Second Round. The draw was not a kind one with two strong looking clubs from the UEFA Confederation to face, but Wydad AC can take encouragement from how they played for large parts of the first fixture.
Wydad AC had been in decent form down the stretch domestically, but have suffered a couple of friendly defeats against European clubs. They will need to improve the defending if they are going to earn a positive result here, especially compared with what they produced in the first fixture in this section.

The reality is that they should still have enough quality to see off a Wydad AC team that play with plenty of effort, but lacked a bit of quality in the opening defeat to Manchester City.
