Genoa scored at least twice in all five league matches since coach Vieira left, and only played poorly in the 4-0 cup defeat to Atalanta with a reserve squad. That game was also greatly influenced by an early red card for Genoa.
The opponents in those five matches weren't of high quality -- Sassuolo, Fiorentina, Genoa, Cagliari, Verona and Udinese. So while Genoa's resurgence is obvious, we don't yet know how they will do when the going gets tough.
