RB Leipzig have looked much better at the Red Bull Arena than they have away from home so far. They have won both games there, beating Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-0 and Hamburger SV 5-0. Both defeats came on the road, leaving Martín Demichelis' side with six points from four games.
RB Leipzig can also make some club history here. A win would give them three straight home wins to start a Bundesliga season for only the second time, while another victory would make it eight consecutive Bundesliga home wins!
They have scored eight times without conceding in their two home games so far, which is a big reason I like their chances here.
Eintracht Frankfurt
Eintracht Frankfurt have five points from four Bundesliga games and have played some very open matches.
They drew 3-3 at Union Berlin, lost 1-4 to Augsburg, beat Mainz 3-1 and then drew 2-2 with SC Freiburg. Always entertaining games, but horrific defending.
Their biggest problem is holding onto a lead. Eintracht Frankfurt have been ahead in every Bundesliga game this season and have already dropped seven points from winning positions.
Interestingly, Eintracht Frankfurt have also scored inside the first 10 minutes in all four matches, so RB Leipzig will need to be ready from the start.
Eintracht Frankfurt are solid in the attack, but RB Leipzig have been very strong at home. The recent meetings favor the hosts, with RB Leipzig winning 6-0 in this fixture last December and 1-3 in Frankfurt in April.
The Betting Verdict
I’m going with RB Leipzig to win. Their home form is the main reason for me, especially with eight goals scored and none conceded in their two games at the Red Bull Arena.
Eintracht Frankfurt are too unpredictable and weak at the back, so I cannot trust them right now. They are likely to score, and this game could be another shootout, but my main bet is RB Leipzig to win outright.
