Analysis:

After securing their place in the Champions League second round, Jose Mourinho must now turn his attention back to Serie A and bounce back after the defeat to Juventus last weekend.

Had Inter won last weekend it would have taken their lead to 11 points but unfortunately their dramatic defeat leaves them just five clear of the Juventus, and city rivals Milan are a point closer.

Inter have a score to settle with Atalanta as they were beaten 3-1 in this encounter last season. That was one of the four defeats they suffered all season.

In that match, Atalanta were three goals up within 33 minutes thanks to Sergio Floccari strike and two goals from Cristiano Doni. Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal was a mere consolation.

However Atalanta are going through a difficult season and have struggled under Angelo Gregucci as well as his replacement Antonio Conte.

But Conte would soon realized his words of working for two years without pay if Atalante were relegated as it stands now only goal difference separates his side from being in the relegation spot.

Atalanta have lost six of their last seven games coming into this match and were knocked out of the Coppa Italia by minnows Lumezzane. They will also miss the services of Edgar Barreto and Jaime Valdes who is suspended.

As for Inter Milan they will miss Davide Santon, Ricardo Quaresma, Walter Samuel and Dejan Stankovic through injury, and Sulley Muntari due to suspension.
