Analysis:

These two sides will battle it out in what will be the match of the week this weekend. Ciro Ferrara knows Juventus needs a result here because the fans and board will not be happy if Juventus is out of the title race this early.

But for A.C Milan they have not finished any higher than third since 2005 so they will be eager to do better this time. One thing for certain is that games between these two clubs are surely going to be intense and full of rivalry. As it stands now, Milan are second with 34 but a game in hand, Juventus third with 33.

But it cannot be denied based on form alone, Milan will start as favourites here. Both teams won after returning from the winter break. Milan could even afford to miss a penalty in the 5-2 win as Marco Borriello and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar were both on target.

And with David Beckham having returned on loan, Ronaldinho in form and youngsters Luca Antonini and Ignazio Abate impressing at full back, Milan have more options across the field and are much stronger now.

Last season Juventus beat Milan 4-2 with goals from Alessandro Del Piero, Giorgio Chiellini and Amauri. The likes of Vincenzo Iaquinta and David Trezeguet is missing now so the burden will now be on Amauri once again. Ferrara is likely to rely on the 4-4-1-1 system again and rely on Diego who has been struggling of late.

Juventus are without Gigi Buffon, Mauro Camoranesi and Momo Sissoko(African Cup of Nations) for this match. While Milan will be without the likes of Alexandre Pato, Massimo Oddo, Gianluca Zambrotta and Clarence Seedorf due to injuries.
