Analysis:

A.C Milan knows that with Inter drawing last night this will be their best chance to close the gap to their city rivals when they entertain Siena in this clash. In midweek they were pushed to the limit by Novara in the Coppa Italia so they know they must not under-estimate their opponent here today.

Siena comes into this match and have been on the losing side in 13 of their 19 League games this season. They have also been beaten in eight of their nine away games. The visitors conceded nine goals in their last two games so everything points to a Milan win here.

As for Milan, they come into this match having won nine of their last 11 games in Serie A and their up-turn in form has now made Leonardo's early calls for him to be dismissed seems a distant past now. Fresh after beating Juventus 3-0 the bottom club Siena will not want to face Milan at this point in time that is for sure.

Last season when they met Alexandre Pato scored two goals to give them a 2-1 win. That was the exact scoreline the season before again with Milan taking the lead before surrendering the it and reclaiming it.

A.C Milan will be without defenders Massimo Oddo, Gianluca Zambrotta and Oguchi Onyewu, midfielder Clarence Seedorf and young strikers Alexandre Pato and Dominic Adiyiah, with the latter being involved in the African Cup of Nations.

Siena will be without Algerian attacker Abdel Kader Ghezzal who is involved in the African Cup of Nations. Brazilian defender Emilson Cribari serves a one-match ban while Brazilian striker Reginaldo has two games to sit out due to suspensions.
