The Indianapolis Colts are still the Super Bowl odds favorites after two rounds of the NFL playoffs and they’ll probably be the same after this week.

The Colts are the No. 1 seed in the AFC and they are that way for a reason. They were 14-2 in the regular season and didn’t lose a single game in which they played their starters the entire way through.

But one of the few Colts losses this year – just one of two – was to the New York Jets, which adds plenty of intrigue to this contest. The Colts were a perfect 14-0 when the Jets came to down and they were leading 15-10 in the third quarter before they opted to rest their starters. The Jets took advantage and ended up winning the game rather easily. The NFL betting crowd knows that the game would have played out very differently had the Colts played the entire way through.

The other factor is that the Colts could have eliminated the Jets but they didn’t. Will that come back to bite them?

The Jets have won twice as road underdogs in consecutive weeks, but that has to be taken with a grain of salt. Sure, they topped the Chargers last week but the Chargers missed three field goals with their Pro Bowl kicker. If he hits any of them, the game would have changed.

This week, the Jets will be on the road for a third straight week and they’ll be facing a team that wants some revenge. The Jets were the first team to defeat the Colts this season and that win started the debate as to whether the Colts made the right call to bench their starters or not. You can bet that the Colts will want to prove in a big way that that was the right decision.

The Jets are a very one-dimensional team and the Colts know this. They are going to come out and try to run the ball but the Colts will force them to find another avenue to the end zone.

With a rookie quarterback at the helm, the prospects don’t look so great for the Jets. Especially when you have a guy like Peyton Manning on the other sideline.
