Analysis:

Napoli will be aiming to get back on track after losing their first match under the guidance of Walter Mazzarri last weekend. After going 16 games unbeaten they finally went down against Udinese in somewhat fishy circumstances.

They were beaten 3-1 in what can be seen as poor refereeing decisions so much so that fans will wear masks of Pierluigi Collina in protest in today's match. It was a shame that they were beaten as Mazzarri was just one game away from equaling a club record for most consecutive useful results on the road.

Morgan De Sanctis, the Napoli goalkeeper, was also just three minutes from breaking Dino Zoff’s record for not conceding a goal but all that came to an end sadly.

But going into this match with Inter Milan, there is renewed cause of optimism as Napoli are unbeaten at the San Paolo this season and have only let in seven goals in front of their home fans this season.

The good news is Ezequiel Lavezzi is also back after over a month out, giving Mazzarri another option in atatck. The 24-year-old has scored twice in his last two games against Inter, giving Jose Mourinho something extra to think about as his side will go battle with Chelsea in midweek for the Champions League.

Mourinho went on record to state that he wasn’t concerned by the Nerazzurri’s inability to beat 10-man Parma on Wednesday, but Julio Cesar later revealed that the team was a little upset. Inter extended their lead at the top of Serie A and remain unbeaten in 12 matches.

However, the Nerazzurri have conceded fewer goals on their travels than at home this season. So don't expect a lot of goals in this encounter.
