Both sides were promoted last season but as fate would have it, Parma will stay up while Livorno have been relegated back to Serie B. Parma will say goodbye to Francesco Guidolin while it has already been the end of the road for Livorno as they bid farewell to Serie A.

Meanwhile the hosts are without Damiano Zenoni and Massimo Paci, but welcome back Blerim Dzemaili and Luis Jimenez from suspension. Despite missing them, they still did well to beat Juventus since 1999.

Parma will want to finish their season with a win in front of their home faithfuls. Guidolin will have the option to choose between Jonathan Biabiany, Hernan Crespo, Davide Lanzafame and Valeri Bojinov to lead the attack. He even could start with a 4-4-1-1 system here.

When they played in Serie B it ended in a goalless draw but in 2007-08 Parma won the match 3-2.
