Analysis:

Catania will want to finish the season and better their previous achievement in Serie A last season. Genoa will have other ideas as they will want to end their poor season on a high note as well.

The home side under Sinisa Mihajlovicj have improved thie season and turned the Stadio Massimino into a fortress. Their last match they drew with Bologna but will want to finish with a win in front of their home fans.

Beating Genoa will help achieve their season Serie A points record. But for Genoa they got knocked out of the Europa League and were hoping to finish in the top seven in order to qualify for Europe again. However, despite beating Milan at the weekend they will finish the season in eighth position or even ninth if they lose this vital clash.

The visitors were no doubt hit by injuries to the side and after beating Milan in their last match they must make sure they remained focus in this match.

As for the team news, Nicolas Spolli will start at the back for Catania as Christian Terlizzi is on his way out of the club. Alessandro Potenza will also start instead of Pablo Alvarez. Martinez is likely to start upfront instead of Izco even though he is not fully fit.

As for Genoa, Nenad Tomovic will replace the suspended Salvatore Bocchetti while Domenico Criscito will return to defence leaving Ivan Juric the left of midfield. In attack we will see Rodrigo Palacio and Gisueppe Sculli should start along with Robert Acquafresca.
