Vicente Padilla is the visiting starter tonight on the east coast and he has been in fine form recently, allowing just 7 runs and 24 hits in his last 7 starts.

Having said that, those 4 of those starts came at home, while the others were at St. Louis, San Diego and San Francisco, which are all low scoring ballparks. The last time Padilla pitched in a ballpark which favours hitters, he got pasted for 4 runs in just 5 innings.

Padilla's numbers are good, but I reckon he will get found out here at a favourable hitting ground against a very dangerous opposing offense.

He has allowed only 4 runs in his last 20 innings of work and Philadelphia is 7-2 in his last 9 starts while going 8-2 in his home starts this season. Kendrick has now made 3 consecutive home starts in which he has restricted opposing hitters to just 1 run.

Philadelphia is hitting .305 as a team in their last 10 games against right-handed hurlers, with Raul Ibanez on particularly good form for the home side.

The Phillies returned from the break and suffered a slump, going 1-6, but have since won 14 of their last 17, clearly enough to classify as good current form.

Philly are 13-1 in the last 14 home games, while their season record in their backyard stands at 36-19.
