Analysis:

Sunderland who are winless since the opening of the season will have all to do when they welcome Manchester City for this clash at the Stadium of Light.

The good news is that Steve Bruce Sunderland have lost just once in their last 11 games at home and will want to make sure that stays after the match.

As for Manchester City, their big win over Liverpool on Monday Night Football showed that they have what it takes to challenge the big four to the Premier League title this season. They are also coming off the back of a good display against Timisoara in the Europa League so will be keen to extend their good form into this match.

Moreover, Manchester City are currently unbeaten in their last five visits to the Stadium of Light, and they have won four out of those five games, so they will be eager to extend that record.

As for the team news, the home side will be without defender Nedum Onouha who is ineligible for the clash with City as he is ineliegible to face his parent club of which he is on loan from.

That means that Phil Bardsley and Marcos Angeleri will be eager to fill the vacant spot. Ahmed Elmohamady is also another option as he can also play on the right side of defence.
