Tottenham are the form team in this one, and the prices reflect that clearly. North London's second-fiddle side currently lead their hated rival by 10 points, and are closer to the top, only 8 behind leaders Manchester City, the only team to have beaten them in their last 11 matches.

Tottenham can count themselves unlucky for the way they lost at City, coming back from 2-0 down only to lose to a penalty taken by a player who should have been sent off for violent conduct. Spurs responded well, going to Watford and winning 1-0 to continue their FA Cup run. Nothing negative in this teams mentality as I see it, especially considering the twitchmeister is on trial for not paying taxes.

Tottenham will want to bounce back from that loss though, along with the last home match, where they disappointed their fans by drawing 1-1 with Wolves, having won the bulk of their home matches before then. At White Hart Lane, Spurs have just 1 loss and 2 draws in 11.

Wigan lie bottom of the table, and I doubt anyone would back them to claw their way to safety. Martinez's men have been particularly useless when travelling, scoring just 9 goals in 11 away games, while conceding 24! That has led to them losing 7 of those games, and most of them have been by more than a goal. Their away form did not improve even when they travelled to face Swindon in the FA Cup, who knocked them out with a 2-1 win.

BETTING VERDICT

Tottenham have already won in Wigan and that was by a 2-1 margin. I think they should win by at least 2 but I'm going to take the safer option and pick Tottenham on the AH giving up 1.
