2006-08-26 - Celtic vs Hibernian

ANALYSIS
Hibs haven't looked too sharp in front of goal so far this season, but in recent weeks have shown that their team still looks very much complete in all other areas.
Goalkeeper Malkowski is still a big worry, but Rob Jones has a commanding presence at the back, allowing a little more freedom to David Murphy and Steven Whittaker down the wings, and they have the ability to hurt Celtic.
In the middle Kevin Thompson and Michael Stewart provide the hard work, giving the talented Scott Brown far more licence to roam, and his runs from deep will undoubtedly trouble the champions.
The new Morroccan Zemmama is a star turn and its only a matter of time before he properly announces himself on the Scottish scene with a MOM display.
Ivan Sproule will always be a danger with his electric pace, and if Hibs go with one up front it should allow their midfield a good chance of competing well in this game.
Celtic have shown some good form at times this season, but they have shown vulnerability away from home and against Killie at Celtic Park, who had more than a few chances to take a lead early on.
HEAD TO HEAD
16.04.2006 Celtic v Hibernian 1:1
10.12.2005 Celtic v Hibernian 3:2

THE VERDICT
Hibs can score here, have shown in recent meetings at Parkhead that they can easily compete, and even if Celtic win (most probably by aide of a Miller goal knowing the way these things go) it should only be by one.
