Analysis:

Genoa welcome Lazio to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris with both teams safe from the prospect of relegation and no longer able to play European football next season. Genoa sit 8th in the table with 48 points, while the Lazio are 13th with 40.

Genoa have done well since promotion from Serie B. They will use this match to prepare for next season and their main task is to keep their current position rather than slipping down the table. Lazio on the other hand, has had a dreadful season they may want to forget. They suffered an early exit from the Champions League and paid the price for their European involvement and were even facing the prospect of relegation at one stage. Coach Delio Rossi’s future at the club is also uncertain.

Genoa will start this match with a 3-4-3 formation here. They will miss the services of Domenico Criscito and Marco Di Vaio who are out suspended. Abdoulay Konko will start in defence while Gaetano De Rosa will be on the substitutes bench. Omar Milanetto will be given a free role in midfield. Lazio has not won in their last five matches. It is hard to see how they will come away with any points here.
