ADO Den Haag
ADO got their first points of the season in round three after a victory at VVV Venlo. New striker Bulykin made an impact scoring twice, with his first one after only two minutes played. In all honesty I expected more of Ado against Vitesse and Roda JC in their first two matches, and the results were dissapointing. It might take some time before the new players and the new manager are performing to the max, but so far a win against VVV doesn't convince me they have reached that point yet.
ADO is not the team that can pressure an opponent with a passing game, and they are better when playing quick when they have possession. Winger Verhoek is an important player in the team with 4 assists and 1 goal already, they look for him and he comes with the cross.
ADO has signed Slovenian international Radosavljevic but he probably won't feature against PSV. Captain Buijs is out with an ankle injury.
PSV Eindhoven
PSV strolled past Sibir Novosibirsk in the Europa League. It took more than half an hour to score the opener, but after that it was a piece of cake. In the Eredivisie they are on top with 9 points after Sunday's win against AZ. Although AZ played a good game and gave PSV some difficulties, the individual qualities of PSV were decisive.
PSV has the best bench in the Eredivisie, and up front they have huge class. Dzsudzsak, Toivonen, Berg and Lens all can decide a match by themself, and captain and playmaker Afellay is coming from the bench, still looking for a top transfer.
Striker Toivonen is in topform scoring 5 goals in the Erdivisie already, and he scored on thursday against Sibir too. With his role behind the striker he is lethal with his shots, and he clicks with striker and fellow-countryman Marcus Berg.
This duo supported by the fast and technical wingers Dzsudzsak and Lens is hard to stop. The Europa League qualifier shouldn't play a negative role as not much energy was wasted and the morale is high. They are playing for the title again, and just as last year they have started good.
THe Betting Verdict
ADO is not as far as they probably wanted to be, and are in the middle of a building process. The win against VVV was necessary, but it isn't an indicator they are ready to compete against a team like PSV.
PSV is better in every aspect, and are playing mature as title contenders. PSV will get plent of opportunities to play their own game, and odds reflect the difference in quality.
I'm taking PSV -1.5 at evens available at Pinnacle.
