2007-11-25 - FC Utrecht vs NEC Nijmegen
A Sports Betting Pick by Erik
FC Utrecht
FC Utrecht is currently on the tenth place in the ranking with the team still looking for their first home win of the season.
Only one point was collected at home so far drawing 2-2 to De Graafschap but FC Utrecht lost their remaining four games to NAC Breda (0-1), Ajax (0-1), Vitesse (2-4) and Feyenoord (0-3).
On the road the form of FC Utrecht is a completely different story with the team collecting fourteen points in six games winning four times and drawing twice. Two weeks ago FC Utrecht booked a comfortable 1-4 win on the road to Willem II thanks to goals from Nelisse (att), George (att), Pieters (def) and Broerse (mid).
FC Utrecht will host NEC Nijmegen on Sunday and the team will be without the suspended Vandenbergh (att) while Vorm (gk), Sanmartean (mid) and Van der Gun (att) will remain sidelined.
NEC Nijmegen
NEC is occupying the thirteenth place in the ranking with eleven points from their last eleven games and the team is slightly getting back in form after picking up only one point in their first five games of the season.
Two weeks ago NEC grabbed a 3-0 home win over Heracles Almelo thanks to goals from Van Beukering (att), Lens (att) and Nalbantoglu (def) with the team picking up their second win in three games.
However, the team holds a terrible away record this season picking up only one point on the road losing five from their six games.
For the game against FC Utrecht Nalbantoglu (def) will be doubtful with the defender being not completely fit while Snoyl (def) has been removed from the selection after disciplinary actions.

Verdict
With FC Utrecht looking for their first home win of the season and NEC Nijmegen looking for their first away win, this game can be a turning point for either team.
FC Utrecht has shown multiple times this season to have the disposal of a strong selection of players which was underlined by the 1-4 win on the road to Willem II two weeks ago.
However, at home the team plays with too much pressure but it will be a matter of time for the hosts to collect their first three points in De Galgewaard.
NEC Nijmegen are very poor travellers and the team has only managed to avoid defeat once in their last six away games drawing 0-0 on the road to Ajax.
With both teams looking to break with their poor record, I think FC Utrecht will finally manage to do so on Sunday and will book their first home win of the season.
