Wins against Kazakhstan and Liechtenstein along with holding North Macedonia to a 1-1 draw away from home should still give the visitors plenty of encouragement, while the bigger picture shows Wales have lost just once in their last 10 internationals in all competitions.
If Wales are to mount a serious challenge for automatic qualification for next year’s World Cup finals then they need to gain a result at Kazakhstan on Thursday afternoon.
