But the fact remains they are still bottom of the Premiership and a defeat could be disastrous here. The likes of Vedran Corluka and Roman Pavlyuchenko will return to the side after being cup tied in midweek.
Corluka is likely to slot straight back into the defence but Pavlyuchenko may have to settle for a place on the substitutes' bench after Darren Bent's three goals impressive display. Ledley King is in contention to start this match after being rested, but Giovani dos Santos is out with an ankle injury and Jermaine Jenas with a toe problem.
