2009-11-08 - Spartak Nalchik vs Dynamo Moscow

A Sports Betting Pick by Pantocrator

Spartak Nalchik-Dynamo.Moscow
Football: Russian Premier League 2009/2010
Sunday, 7th November 2009. Kickoff 12:30

Spartak Nalchik (14th) HOME 4-6-3 18:11

Spartak Nalchik has done it again. The team which is considered a relegation battle specialist has jumped on the life saving boat after beating Spartak Nalchik 4-0. Only a miracle can prevent them from surviving in the Premier League.

It may sound odd, but Spartak Nalchik is currently showing probably showing its’ best football ever and certainly amongst the best in the Premier League alongside Rubin and Spartak Moscow. They may lack strong individuals, but work as a perfectly set-up mechanism. Injury and suspension lists are empy, hence Krasnozhan should field the same line up which beat Kuban and upset Zenit in St. Petersburg a fortnight ago.

Tactic/Mood/Confidence
Spartak is no push-over at the home stadium and has only surrendered to Lokomotiv and Spartak this season. They tend to score a lot in front of home fans and repay the support with attacking open football. Krasnozhan expects Dynamo to sacrifice the ball to Spartak, so look for Spartak to enjoy majority of possession and rely on their trademark set-pieces.

The pressure is off. Spartak can relax a bit. However playing in front of home crowd should prevent them from lacking the necessary concentration.

Last match analysis Spartak - Kuban 4-0
Spartak Nalchik systematically like a true chess master dismantled the opposition and approached the opening goal. Shamil Asildarov scored from the penalty spot to get the hosts in front. The game took a break until the 62nd minute when central defender Amisulashvilli scored his 4th goal of the season.

Then an outstanding strike from Kisenkov saw the ball fly all over the pitch to end up in the back of Stepanov’s net. Brazilian duo Leandro and Ricardo combined in added time to add further misery to Kuban’s evening.

Hosts win was fully deserved and came as a reflection of class difference between the two teams, who are neighbors in the table. Yury Krasnozhan is certainly a very fortunate man to have all of his players fit during such an important period. Depth of the squad allowed to have some hidden variants under the sleeve.

Dynamo Moscow (9th) AWAY 4-3-6 13-19

Dynamo failed to give their fans something to cheer about as they played out a goalless home draw against Amkar. Andrey Kobelev is winless for 4 consecutive league games. Returns of Kerzhakov, Kolodin and Gabulov have barely changed anything. Jovan Tanasievic is fully fit.

Dmitry Kombarov return to the left wing of Dynamo’s midfield will move Alexandr Kerzhakov to the usual position up front. Russian national team striker had to work as a left midfielder in the previous match as Andrey Kobelev had no one to cover the position. Dynamo is fighting against itself ever since the chances of finishing within the European zone became impossible.

Rumors are suggesting Igor Semshov may make a switch back to the Blue-Whites as part of the transfer of Alexandr Kerzhakov.

Tactic/Mood/Confidence
Kombarov’s reunion gives Dynamo the opportunity to build the attacking play through the wings. Pacy midfielders are programmed to send low crosses into the penalty area. Over the season Kobelev’s tactics have been very predictable and rather one-sided. As a result the team failed to repeat last year’s successful 3rd place finish.

It will all go down to how Kobelev manages to fire his players up for this match. Honestly speaking lack of any reasonable motivation certainly affects the mood inside the team.

Last match analysis Dynamo - Amkar 0-0
The only goalless match of the 27th round had draw written all over it since the starting whistle. Hosts had the initiative early on in the match as Kerzhakov set Kokorin up on a randevue with Usminskiy. But the youngster failed to beat the keeper. Amkar mostly relied on set-pieces, hence central defender Belorukov was the most dangerous figure in Dynamo’s penalty area as he was well found by Nikola Drincic on a couple of occasions. Second half was a true torture to both sides as pouring snow turned out to be the only notable highlight.

Dynamo lacked creativity in attack, something they have been short of ever since Danny left for Zenit. Wing play was not up to the usual standard as Kirill Kombarov has one of his bad days on the right and Alexandr Kerzhakov failed to serve a worthy substitution for the suspended Dmitry Kombarov.

Betting advice

Dynamo has a full squad available for the first time since 2 months, if my memory doesn’t fail me. It is about time to expect Spartak Nalchik to start losing points.

The important win against Kuban’ may prove a bit too relaxing for the hosts.
