Gaz Metan is one of the disappointments of this season Liga 1, despite being one of the most spectacular teams from the league. In 15 games in which they were involved, 51 goals were scored.
After finishing 7th last season only one point behind Dinamo (current leaders), Gaz Metan started their new campaign by playing for the first time in their history in Europa League and pulled of some positive results early on.
However, the team from Medias lost 5 of their previous 7 matches and slipped to the 13th position, only 2 points above the red zone. It’s interesting that they only registered one draw in 15 games.
Gaz Metan could have put an end to their disappointing form on their previous travel, when facing Rapid they took the lead early on, but they couldn’t preserve a two goal advantage and eventually lost the match.

The betting verdict
I will continue to bet against Concordia every time I consider there is a fair price, I still think that they and Mioveni are not Liga 1 material and should/will relegate at the end of the season.
Their strategy of transferring players with lots of experience, but at the end of their careers has turned out to be a disastrous one.
Gaz Metan on the other hand is a team that can play some aggressive football with some quality players on their squad, but I think their main problem is the lack of confidence. They beat CFR Cluj (2-0) and Steaua (3-0) this season and lost against all kind of teams, so this is not a question of potential.
