Brighton
Brighton were excellent in their 0-2 win at Cardiff midweek to close right in on the top 6. 2 points off 6th and having played a game less than Boro sets them up well to break into the playoff places.
Poyet's side are unbeaten in 3 winning 2. 1 loss in 8 has helped them move in on Boro and having beaten the league leaders last time out they will be very confident ahead of this game.
At home it's 3 unbeaten with 2 wins for Brighton. The loss to Watford (1-3) is their only defeat in 10 home league games. However in the 9 unbeaten games their record is 5 wins and 4 draws which probably is 1 or 2 more draws than Poyet would have wanted.
4 of the last 5 home games have seen both sides scoring. Brighton has scored in 9 of their last 10 home games but 2 or more in 1 of their last 4. 1 clean sheet in 5 home games isn't great as more often than not they need 2 goals to win their home games.
Burnley
Burnley drew 0-0 with Boro midweek and were perhaps a little fortunate to do so. The point leaves them in 12th place and 7 points off the playoff place making this game a matchup that they cannot lose.
Dyche's side haven't won in 4 games with their form line reading L-D-L-D. With 4 wins from 5 previously to this winless run, I'm not sure why Burnley has recently gone off the boil?
Away from home it's no wins in 2 but 1 loss in 5 so this is a tough side to beat on their travels. The games unbeaten were split 2 wins and 2 draws but perhaps a draw isn't going to help them here as they are chasing Brighton above them in the league table.
Burnley have scored in the last 5 away games and 8 in 9. In 4 of the last away games Burnley has scored 2 or more making them very dangerous. At the other end 4 conceded in the last 2 isn't great and at the moment most Burnley away games turn into shootouts.
Betting Verdict
I can't split these 2 sides here Brighton have won 2 of the last 3 at home and have just beat the league leaders away from home. The visitors haven't won in 4 overall but 1 loss in 5 away is good enough to trouble Brighton on Saturday.
I like both teams to score here as the hosts have had 4 of their last 5 home games with both scoring. The visitors last 2 aways have had both sides scoring and 3 of the last 5.
Burnley are scoring and conceding freely on their travels at moment and I'm certain of a home goal. Brighton on the other hand with 1 clean sheet in 5 don't keep many sides out at home so I'm expecting that trend to continue.
If guessing a winner the hosts maybe edge this but with my bet I keep 1-1 on side. 2-1 is a possibility but I feel Burnley could cause a shock here so I'll leave the fixed and asian markets alone.
Good Luck
The Pick :
Brighton 1-1 Burnley
