BETTING PREVIEW

A tough game to cap this, because the managers are very tough men to read, and everything they say could be a cover for some hidden plan of attack to win this mammoth game. It's tough to find a bet I'm confident of, because there are always good arguments against them.

Madrid may have Casillas back in goal, or they may not, depending on what you read. I personally think he will not be involved in this game, and they will stick to the team that has managed to beat Barcelona not once but twice in the last week, both home, and more importantly, away. For all those expecting a glut of goals here, remember how Madrid blanked Barcelona in their own stadium until they were 3-0 up and out of sight.

Manchester United may be running away with the Premier League title, and won excellently on the weekend, 4-0 against Norwich with Kagawa netting a hattrick and Rooney with the 4th. They are dangers here, as is Van Persie, but then you could make a pretty good argument for Ronaldo breaking United hearts here if he is given even a sniff.

I think the overs are going to get hammered pretty hard in this one, as everyone expects goals, and I'm going to dodge that bet. In fact, I'm going to dodge the result too. Gut feeling? Real Madrid, with Mourinho's brains behind them, quality and confidence, secure a 1 goal margin win. But who knows what Fergie gets his team to do on a big occasion?

What I definitely do not like is United's defence this season. Thanks to some fantastic offence they have been able to live with the goals conceded but it's just not good enough to back them against Real Madrid.
