A.C Milan must pick themselves up after the home defeat to Palermo and return to winning ways when they travel to face Fiorentina in this tough encounter. Milan had won five games on the bounce and just qualified for the knock-out stages of the Champions League though in less convincing fashion before they suffered that shock defeat to Palermo in front of their home fans.

Now their titles hopes are in the balance after the home defeat to Palermo which shows they are just not good enough if they are to challenge Inter for the Scudetto. Now it is important that they get back to winnings ways to stop their city rivals going further ahead in the standings.

Fiorentina on the other hand are not consistent enough. Cesare Prandelli's team did fantastically well to qualify from their Champions League group, considering the competition they were up against. But they went down to earth and lost their last domestic game. Now they are finding it difficult to get into that elusive fourth spot.

A real boost to the home side is that Adrian Mutu is back and could start from the bench consideing that they have a huge injury list at the moment. But they are still miss the likes of Alessandro Gamberini, Cristiano Zanetti and Marco Marchionni.

Leonardo has problems at the back with the likes of Massimo Oddo, Oguchi Onyewu, Thiago Silva and Daniele Bonera all out.

Last season Milan won this fixture 2-0 with all to play for with goals from Brazilian duo Kaka and Alexandre Pato who played his last game for Milan.
