2010-02-06 - Burnley vs West Ham United
A Sports Betting Pick by Cruiser
Analysis:Burnley comes into this match in the worst possible form ever as they have yet to win a match under new manager Brian Laws. They have yet to win in 12 matches now and last weekend were beaten by Chelsea 2-1.
However, they do have a good home form as they have earned 19 out of 20 points at Turf Moor. The visitors are heading into this match on the back of three straight draws. However The Hammers do have a good record against Burnley which have seen them managed eight wins and two draws in their last ten meetings.
When the two sides last met in November West Ham came out on tops when they won 5-3 at Upton Park and Granfranco Zola will be hoping for a similar result in this clash.
With regards to the team news, Danny Fox, Burnley's new signing will undergo a late fitness test to see if he can feature on his debut. The defender arrived from Celtic nursing a groin strain but has trained with his new team-mates this week and could be in the starting lineup.
Jack Cork who is on loan from Chelsea will also be making to start on his debut here. David Nugent is available again after missing out against Chelsea, while Kevin McDonald and Christian Kalvenes should also be fit despite minor knocks.
Chris McCann (knee) and Stephen Jordan (hamstring) are also pushing to be in contention but Steven Caldwell (groin) and Graham Alexander (calf) are definitely out of this clash.
As for the Hammers, Benni McCarthy, Mido and Ilan completed their moves on transfer deadline day and should feature. Herita Ilunga and Kieron Dyer have overcome their injuries and should be available for selection and together with the likes of Carlton Cole and Scott Parker will be fighting for a place in the starting eleven.
However Zola are still without the likes of Danny Gabbidon (hamstring) and Guille Franco (thigh) while Luis Boa Morte, Zavon Hines (both knee) and Calum Davenport (leg) remain long-term injuries to the side.
Take West Ham on level ball not to lose this match.
Cheers and good luck,
