Luzern responded in emphatic fashion in the Swiss Super League last weekend with a resounding 4-1 victory away from home at Lausanne-Sport after having failed to win any of their preceding three league games which resulted in two draws and a loss.

Indeed, Luzern have won four out of their last five games at home which includes victories gained over the likes of FC Zurich, St Gallen, Winterthur and Sion respectively, while the bigger picture shows Luzern have suffered just two defeats in their previous 13 home games in the Super League.
St Gallen have just four games remaining of the Swiss top flight regular season to make an impact upon the top six pack and secure a place in the Championship Round but the visitors find themselves six points adrift of 6th placed FC Zurich ahead of this tough looking trip to the swissporarena on Thursday night.
Recent results have also been a mixed bag for Enrico Maaßen’s side as St Gallen have managed to capture just one win from their last six matches overall which came courtesy of a 3-1 home win against Grasshoppers but also includes slipping to four defeats within this period as well.
Losses to Yverdon Sport, Winterthur, Lausanne-Sport and Young Boys have seemingly resigned St Gallen to a place in the Relegation Round group when the Swiss domestic top flight season splits into two divisions towards the end of April.
