Over the last several years, Argentina have become very accustomed to winning big international tournaments and they will be the defending World Champions in North America this summer.

Argentina are playing with the momentum of having won all 5 international friendly matches since the World Cup Qualifiers were completed. This is the first of those since early April, and the fixture is taking place in Texas as Argentina look to acclimatise to the United States.
They are taking on a Honduras team who will be incredibly disappointed to have missed out on a World Cup being hosted within their own Confederation. Mexico, Canada and the United States all earned direct entry into the tournament as co-hosts and so Honduras would have felt they could earn one of the other three places being offered to those who take part in the CONCACAF Qualifiers, but this nation finished behind Haiti to miss out.
Honduras drew 2-2 with Peru in an international friendly in March, but it may be tough for the players to find motivation, even if they are facing the current World Champions.
All three previous meetings between the nations have ended in Argentina wins and the last couple of those have been without conceding a goal. Those matches were played in 2016 and 2022 and the latter of those was played just a few weeks before the start of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Some fans may feel it is an omen to be facing Honduras again and Argentina can continue the positive form having won all 5 friendly matches since the end of the South American World Cup Qualifiers.
Honduras will believe they should have been competing at the World Cup Finals this summer, but missing out may mean players are not able to lift their level for this international friendly.
They have not scored the last couple of times they have faced Argentina and that may be the case again for Honduras on Saturday.
