2026-06-06 - Brazil vs Egypt
A Sports Betting Pick by ArmchairPunter
Football : World: International Friendly
Venue: Huntington Bank Field
Saturday 6th June 2026, 2300hrs (GMT)
Brazil and Egypt will play out their final warm-up game ahead of this forthcoming World Cup at Huntington Bank Field with Brazil heading into this international friendly on the back of scoring a total of nine goals from their last two matches.
Recent wins against Croatia 3-1 and a 6-2 pummelling of Panama respectively will have given Carlo Ancelotti’s side a timely boost prior to their upcoming campaign in Group C where the Selecao will be up against Scotland, Haiti and Morocco.
However, qualifying within the CONMEBOL section was far from straightforward for Brazil as they could only muster a modest looking 5th place finish which included being dealt an alarming six defeats in the process, while their defence has conceded in recent games - each of Brazil’s last four games have resulted in both teams scoring.
Egypt finished top of the pile in their qualifying CAF Group A after remaining unbeaten throughout their 10 qualifying games which consisted of collecting eight wins along with two draws.
Following their comfortable and successful World Cup qualifying campaign, Egypt eventually lost in the play-off final for 3rd place in the Africa Cup of Nations, losing out on penalties to Nigeria but subsequent World Cup warm-up games have included recent victories over Saudi Arabia 4-0 and Russia 1-0.
Egypt will line up against Belgium, New Zealand and Iran in Group G and with the likes of Mo Salah, Omar Marmoushand Hamza Abdelkarim in their attacking ranks, The Pharaohs will not only fancy their chances of scoring against their upcoming opponents, Brazil, but also qualify for the knockout rounds in the World Cup.
The Betting Verdict
Brazil have won the previous meetings against Egypt but Hossam Hassan’s side carry a serious goal threat.
The Pick :
Brazil 2-1 Egypt
