Borussia Dortmund’s Bundesliga games in the past few months were all goal-fests, which is something to keep in mind. All their last nine Bundesliga matches ended with 3+ goals scored.
Also, Borussia Dortmund is currently the best and only Bundesliga team that has won all six of their home games.
Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich has been a mean machine in the last two months. It sounds almost unbelievable, but Bayern Munich have won all their last seven competitive matches by keeping a clean sheet.
After routinely beating Augsburg 3-0 last week, they won 1-0 against PSG in the Champions League, so they are full of confidence before this trip to Dortmund.
Bayern Munich also has a stellar away record in the Bundesliga this season, winning five of their six away games, drawing only against Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Betting Verdict
There are some interesting facts about this game. For example, Bayern Munich has not lost away in Dortmund for six whole years. Their last away loss in Dortmund dates from November 2018, and since then, they have won four times and drew only once. I think they are closer to winning here as well.
Another interesting thing is that goals are guaranteed - the last time Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich played a goalless game was in March 2016. Since then, there have been 16 head-to-head duels between the teams, ending with 4+ goals on average.
The value is on Borussia Dortmund, but realistically, Bayern Munich is currently better and closer to winning.
However, I will not take any of those bets and will opt for the simplest and probably most realistic bet of all – both teams to score.
