Hull City
The underlying numbers suggest Hull City overachieved significantly last season when earning promotion to the Premier League and it is clear that this is a team led by a manager who can guide them to positive results even when not at their most convincing best. In saying that, Sergej Jakirovic will be disappointed his Hull City team were not quite able to get over the line and beat Chelsea last weekend after one of the better performances early in this season.
There has been plenty to like about Hull City who have picked up 8 points in the Premier League already and who will be aiming to get to the 40 point mark and consolidate at this level. The Tigers have a 1-1-0 away record and they have scored 3 goals and conceded 2 in those matches.
Hull City were Knocked Out of the League Cup by Sunderland, but they remain unbeaten in the Premier League and had earned 3 clean sheets in a row before the 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge. It is a result that means Hull City have lost 1 of the last 5 away games in all competitions and they have won twice in that time.
Nobel Mendy is also expected to miss out as he looks to clear the concussion protocol, while a number of Hull City squad members will be hoping to return after the international break.

Instead Hull City have remained unbeaten and 8 points from a possible 12 is a very healthy return.
A couple of the results may have come behind a bit of fortune favouring The Tigers, but they could have easily won at Stamford Bridge last weekend. That will have given the Hull City players a lot of confidence and the immediate thought is that Newcastle United are priced very short to win this fixture.
Mathias Jaissle has overseen some good results, but Newcastle United continue to concede a lot of goals and that makes it tough to win matches.
They had also perhaps been a little fortunate to have remained unbeaten before being crushed at Leeds United on Monday and there are some key players missing that could make it very tough for Newcastle United to break down this Hull City team.
Keeping a clean sheet may be tough for the home team to achieve, but the Hull City formation is also likely going to restrict leaving the spaces that this Newcastle United want to exploit.
Putting that together suggests Newcastle United may find it tough to do what they need to do in order to pick up the the victory and backing Hull City with a full goal start on the Asian Handicap looks an appealing way into this fixture.
