Verona is still without a win, if we don't count the cup as they won against Audace Cerignola (we don't know that team either), barely, after penalties, and then proceeded to lose against Serie B side Venezia in the following round without even scoring. Meaning, Verona can't even beat lower division sides, let alone Serie A sides.
It's not like their schedule has been difficult either. It was very easy as they played Udinese, Cremonese, Sassuolo and Pisa in seven rounds so far -- and we can add Cagliari to the easy list. All those matches were draws except for the 0-1 home defeat to Sassuolo, all were low-scoring, and in three out of four Verona was left scoreless.

Unlike Verona, Cagliari had only three winnable matches so far, but ended up winning two of them - they won 2-0 at home against Parma, won 1-2 away against Lecce, and played 1-1 at Udinese. It seems Cagliari specializes in wins against fellow relegation candidates, and if so, Verona could be in trouble here.
Cagliari doesn't have any real quality that would make them a mid-table team, but they are cunning enough to take the points when presented with an opportunity and, unlike Verona, they are capable of chasing scores as well as protecting leads. This makes all the difference.

We think the visitors will remain undefeated here and might even get a win -- the 3.70 on Cagliari straight up is very tempting. You can also get 2.50 on Asian Handicap +0.
Under 2.5 Goals is, of course, priced at the lowest Serie A setting which is 1.53 this season. Gets worse every year. This is indeed a very likely outcome but the question to ask is do you want to place the bet at this price.
Both Teams To Score is a market where you can get some value if you're leaning one way or the other, as Yes is priced at 2.00, with 1.75 for No.
The Betting Verdict
It's obvious to just about everyone that this will be a low-scoring game and that therefore it makes sense to bet on Under. It sure does, but the price is very low.
We think the bookmakers have set the winner prices all wrong, as we haven't yet seen Verona do well against anyone, not even against lower division sides in the cup. On the other hand, Cagliari proved they can sting a fellow relegation candidate. We'll bet on them to do the same here, or at least remain undefeated and give us our stake back. We're looking at 0-1 here, or 0-0 or 1-1 in the worst case.
